South Carolina Republican e-zine The Palmetto Scoop recently wrote a post attacking Rob Miller, the anticipated Democratic challenger to disgraced Congressman Joe “You Lie!” Wilson, and the Manhattan Young Democrats. Why, you ask? Well, like most Americans, the young dems of Manhattan were fed up with Wilson’s antics and were highly motivated to do what they could to ensure Miller has a successful campaign. So MYD threw a fundraiser for Rob Miller in New York City, which was organized by MYD President and native of South Carolina, Al Benninghoff.

This snippet from the Scoop pretty much wraps up their piece, titled “SCGOP LOOKS FOR ROB MILLER, FINDS HIM IN ’SWANKY’ NY CLUB” :

So the South Carolina Republican Party went looking for him. And, well, they found him… “clinking glasses with New York City liberals.”

“Clearly, Rob Miller knows that he will not find a receptive audience to his left-wing views in South Carolina, so it is only natural that he would choose to cavort with New York City liberals instead,” said Meerstein. (SC GOP Exec Director)

In any case, thank you Palmetto Scoop, for the web traffic. And, for pointing out that the SC GOP has nothing better to hit Miller with. Maybe next time you could just send me an email so I can save you the embarrassment. I’d be happy to tell you why I, as a South Carolinian and president of the Manhattan Young Democrats, support Rob Miller for Congress.

Also, why does the GOP operative they cite, Ryan Meerstein, hate NYC liberals so much? Could it be because he worked for the Giuliani Presidential Campaign? Maybe.
