What are you going to be doing August 28, while Obama is giving his acceptance speech? It’s one of two things: (1) living the high life in Denver, rubbing elbows with the leading (and not so leading) lights of the Democratic Party, attending lavish receptions and kick-ass Rock the Whatever concerts; or (2) sitting around [...]

The Summer of Change

by Abhi Nemani, National Political Intern in Summer of Change

Summer of ChangePrices are up, the economy is down, and the war is ongoing. It’s summertime, but the living’s not easy. With life getting harder for Americans in all walks of life–especially young Americans–it’s time for you to get involved.

Welcome to the Summer of Change.

This summer, YDA’s making it easier than ever to do your part to help get Democrats elected and to bring about the change we need: you can just hang out with your friends. On July 25-27, thousands of young people will come together for backyard barbecues, pool parties, happy hours, small get-togethers, and other fun events all designed to convince young people to vote for Democrats this November. At a Summer of Change Event, young people will come together to discuss the issues and why they are voting for Democrats. All of these events will be planned, arranged, and hosted by Young Democrats just like you in your communities. Host one, and you can make a difference while having a good time.
