Parshan Khosravi
Western Vice President
Brief info
Parshan Khosravi is the highest-ranking Iranian American and first-ever Zoroatrian in the history of Young Democrats of America. His upbringing in politics is rooted in his own story and upbringing as a first-generation immigrant and a refugee from a working-class background.
Parshan is an education advocate, grassroots organizer, and unapologetic voice for equity-driven public policy. As a first-generation Iranian refugee and a former ESL student, Parshan has both seen the power of education as a mechanism of community empowerment, as well as the numerous roadblocks and opportunity gaps that face nontraditional and low-income students pursuing education, especially in BIPOC communities. Parshan is also a devout Zoroastrian and spends most of his spare time organizing with his faith community and representing Zoroastrians at the local, national, and global level.
He believes the key to upward mobility and protecting the middle class is a strong workforce protected by unions and empowered by educational advancement, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
